"Bank Approves Short Sale"

I am looking at making an offer on a short sale on a townhouse that has a bank approved price of 80,000. I don't feel comfortable buying it at that price but my real estate agent says I shouldn't offer less than that price. Any thoughts?

Every city is different but I never offer asking price on a short sale. Make the offer where you want to buy at, the agent is just the delivery boy not the judge.
