Multifamily Bootcamp. Is it worth it?

I’m considering small multi family properties as an option. What are your thoughts on the BP multi family (or other) bootcamps? Would love to hear from anyone who has done one, the benefits, value, hidden perks, downsides, etc.

Start with multifamily meet ups, and listen to podcasts on multifamily. I would definitely encourage anyone looking to start a new venture to attend conferences/bootcamps/educational trainings.

If you would like to reduce your mistakes and move faster then I'd say go for it. I'm with a mastermind group and I love it. I'm guessing a bootcamp is like a 2-day or week course or something. It probably has a lot of good information. We do just about everything we can to be around people that are active. Networking, events, conferences, vacations, etc. That's the only way to learn in my opinion.

I agree with both of the above. I do not see any hard in doing the boot camp, but for many, it will only go so far. You will need to keep the momentum afterwards in order to be successful. I am currently the member of a mastermind. Working with a community on a consistent basis, I feel, yields better results as you have supports who can help you along your journey. But, you have nothing to lose by doing the boot camp, so I say do it. Just know that its up to you on what happens when its complete.

The 'downside' of these types of events, if you will, is how temporary the impact is for most people. That isn't a comment on any one program, rather on one-time events in general. One event probably isn't going to change your life. If the event includes quality information, it can help you along, but when push comes to shove it's on you to apply the lessons every day in the long run.

I think Multi family bootcamps are a great way to learn and get a better understanding of a different subject ( underwriting, deal flow, capital raising, etc.) but I think the information taught at these bootcamps can sometimes can get a little costly, especially if your attending a few a year. I'd recommend getting into a good multi family mastermind group. You could also network with other like minded individuals in your area. And maybe find creative ways that you can add value to those people. I think that going this route could potentially give you a lot more value.
