Hi,

If you were to build up a portfolio of investments in Florida (A mix of multifamily and SFR). Where would you suggest to start buying? I'm starting to look seriously at Florida and i would appreciate your input on the best areas. The place i've been looking at so far is Naples and seems like condos and SFR are the most popular products in the area.

Thank you

There's been so much investor activity in Jacksonville over the last few years. Seems everyone is investing here. I understand why as its all the same reasons I moved here three years ago - mild weather (for FL anyway), still more affordable than south FL, gorgeous beaches, bustling economy, huge growth, tons of diversity. I was reading somewhere months ago that it was the only remaining affordable coastal metro in the country. It's gotten less affordable during this last boom, but things are loosening up as the market shifts. We just don't have a lot of MF inventory. Most of our housing stock is SFH but the investors are buying those up as well.
