i am new to the industry... though excited and ready to go, i feel i need to learn more about how it all works. How to get lending... the lingo.... Im pretty much set on what i want to do and how to get there, but getting started is proving to be a little difficult. Any advice as far as the steps or books to help me?

Definitely start with the BiggerPockets Ultimate Beginner's Guide, under the "Learn" tab at the top of the site. After that, most books/resources are geared to a specific type of investing, like wholesaling or buy and hold, so you'll need some direction.
