Biggest Challenges with Syndications

I am working on putting together my first formal syndication and would like guidance from those who have completed them before.

- What are the biggest challenges you faced? 

- What took longer than expected? 

- What was easier/quicker than expected? 

- What resource or team member did you have that made the process easier? 

- Any other concerns or steps that I should be cautious/aware of?

- What are the biggest challenges you faced? Too many to name. What is your marketing plan, marketing budget, what software and systems are you using. Who is running your investor relations? Who is your accountant / rest of your team? Finding good team is hard,

- What took longer than expected? Raising Money.

- What was easier/quicker than expected? Nothing

- What resource or team member did you have that made the process easier? Investor relations and accounting,

- Any other concerns or steps that I should be cautious/aware of? Staying compliant, filing proper forms for each state, getting a good accounting firm to do K-1's.

Syndication is managing a business which is different than managing real estate.
