Where have all the Podcasts gone?

Over the last few years I've had a rotating list of Podcasts I listened to regarding multifamily real estate as well as general real estate investing. Recently I noticed that several of those Podcasts are either 1) Producing a fewer number of episodes (i.e. once a month instead of once a week) or 2) Just stopped altogether.

Anyone else notice this trend?

One would assume that this is a result of the slowdown in the market, hosts/operators moving out of real estate, or a belief that podcasts have not be a lucrative marketing/outreach platform like they were a few years ago. Do you agree?

What Podcast suggestions do you have now at the end of 2025 going into 2026?

I call it the "Podcast Index."  The more podcasts I'm invited to be a guest on, the hotter the market, and vice versa.  Back in 2021 I remember days where it wasn't unusual for me to be a guest on three podcasts in one day, or 2-4 of them per week.  Lately it's maybe 2-4 per month, so a 75% decline.

Maybe if I go two months without being on a single podcast I'll know the market is near a bottom and it's time to buy.  When I was on 4 per week, I was selling.
