Hi Everyone, should drop ceilings be an automatic red flag for anything in a residential multi family structure? Thank you!

@Justin Schaefer I'm not a big fan of drop ceilings but there are a ton of them in the old buildings in my market and I understand why people use them. They easily conceal deteriorated original ceilings and it's much easier to install new lighting above a drop ceiling than above a crumbly plaster or tin ceiling. As @Mark Gallagher mentioned, just slide some tiles aside and take a peek.

@Justin Schaefer Just move some tiles and take a look. In older homes I've seen them over beautiful plaster ceilings many, many times.

@Joe Hughis thank you. I just meant that should it be a red flag that the seller is trying to cheaply cover something up. Basically just wanting to know if there is anything i should pay special attention to in this scenario. Thanks again!
