Exterior outlets (either electric or hydrogen) to refuel vehicles. Maybe exterior refrigerators and pantries for grocery delivered like the mail. Keyed locks will be replaced with fingerprint recognizing locks and everyone's trash and sewage will be used to create energy onsite.

I think the landlord of the future will provide for all of their tenant's housing needs and capture additional revenue for doing so. What's your view? What do you think a futuristic apartment building looks like?

If you really want some far out ideas, check out Eric Drexler's "Engines of Creation". Its about nanotechnology. He describes a house that changes over the course of the day. When its cool, the house is transparent on the sun facing sides to allow sunlight to heat the house. When its hot, the house grows black spikes that act as heat sinks to cool the house.

I'm not convinced we will get to the point of having electric generation at every house, but I do see potential for smaller, more distributed electric generation.

I suspect it won't be long before your bathroom is equiped with medical analyzers. Your toilet will be an analyzer that continously monitors your health. Just hope they don't tie it into the fridge. "Sorry, no ice cream tonight, your blood sugar is too high."
