Asking seller financing through MLS

Jon Guy
Posted

Hello,

I see a property(it's a 4plex) that just went live on the MLS and is being listed by an agent. Is it a waste of time or dumb to contact the seller or the agent and see if the the seller would be interested in seller financing? Could the agent still earn a fee?

thanks!!

If you want to even have a chance, you have to fully explain how seller financing works and why it is a better deal for them by providing the full amortization schedule, comparing that vs. a sale on the market for less, and you have to be paying more than they can get on the market unless it's been sitting for a while to have any chance.
