Timber value in 5 acre lot?

Hi

I saw one 5 acre lot with lot of timber in Atlanta, GA, if I want to clear the lot, would any timber company buy the timber and clear the lot?

if not whom should I approach to clear the trees and clear the lot.

In general how much it cost to remove the trees?

It depends on the type, size, location, topography and amount of trees. Best bet is to contact a couple of local timber company to give you an idea of value if any. Sometimes they will take the big trees at no charge, sometime they can pay you. To get estimates to clear the lots that would be a local site work company. You should be able to find a couple to give you some quotes on that as well.
