SFH to Duplex - San Diego, CA

Recently purchased a 5 bed / 3 bath property in San Diego, CA that is technically a single family home (combined water and solar). It is laid out in a very obvious front/back unit (each has own garages, no overlapping space, own front doors). Anybody have any advice for how to legally split this property into an 'A' and 'B' unit or a 123 and 123 1/2 address?

Replied

Assuming it is not zoned for MF, take advantage of the 6 CA ADU laws and make one unit an ADU.

Seems likely you found a convenient value add property.

good luck
