Hi Everyone on BP!

I am slowly growing my rental portfolio and would love to hear peoples stories on their trip into scaling, what tips and tricks you all have learned and what was biggest hurdle you have had to overcome in the process!

Thanks!

@Kevin Perez

We have scaled from 0 - $20M+ in a few years and here are some of the keys we will share:

1. It will be harder than you think

2. You are a company, run it like a company. You will need a rockstar team, you will need to spend money on corporate “stuff” especially legal to review agreements, contracts etc also get rid of gmail email addresses etc

3. It’s a marathon not a sprint, do not grow to fast to quickly

4. Relationships with others will be key to growing.

5. You are not the best at everything, find out what you are great at and bring in others to be great at what you are not

6. Having systems and SOP’s in writing is a must

7. Don’t cheat #6 when busy. For example it doesn’t matter if you are buying a $100k or $1M home, don’t cheat due diligence or any process.

8. Set yearly goes and break them down by quarter

These are just a few, could get more specific if you want
