Unannounced move in and did not sign lease

All - I have a "tenant" that had his application approved. He then moved in unannounced back in November or December of 2023 and has not signed a lease.  I found out that he moved in unannounced roughly the same time period, Nov or Dec of 2023. I am a working professional and have been extremely busy the last few months. I now have the time to handle this and want some advice.  What should I do to get this resolved immediately? Should I ask him to sign the lease and if he does not then give him written notice to leave the property in "X" time frame?
