Realistic Timelines for Fix-and-Flip Projects

Brandon Lee
Posted

For those doing rehabs, how long does your average project take — from purchase to resale?

I’ve seen timelines range from 45 to 120 days depending on crew, permits, and funding.

What’s a realistic goal for new investors?

My average is 3-4 months for a gut and re-do depending on the size of the house. Cost is anywhere from 180-300k depending on the size and materials. Averaged. My current area though is Seattle and prices are a bit higher than many other places.
