Can we dispense with the AI posts and just connect?

I feel the social is gone out of social media. I used to be a fan of BP and I really loved answering posts from people asking legitimate questions. I recently posted a rant when I saw a post that was obviously generated by AI, but then every response to that very post also had the tell tale markers of AI. It was just Claude talking to itself. For years I connected with wonderful people on the platform who wanted to learn and do business. Now, it's become an echo chamber where someone posts "the 5 ways you can" and "what are you seeing." Then, others paste that post in Gemini with the prompt "answer this response." That's not connecting and, frankly, it's ruined the platform. I'm hoping this trend ends, but I fear it will be the same as other platforms where realtors shoot videos of themselves in short skirts standing in front of someone else's listing. This is not a complaint...it's a plea. I would love it if we, at least when we're conversing, can go back to "analog". Now...let me run this through Copilot to clean up spelling and grammar (lol).

It's really sad. Over the years I've connected with some good, real people on here, but now it's just silly bots and click-bait posts. I'll leave the page open, but until that changes I won't engage like I used to. It's nice to engage with a human (you are human, right? lol)

I don’t think AI created this problem.

I think AI exposed it.

People didn’t suddenly start creating low-value content. They just became able to produce it much faster.

As someone building in the AI space myself, I see it as a tool, not a substitute for experience. If someone has actually completed projects, managed renovations, lost money, solved problems, and uses AI to organize those lessons into a clearer post, I don’t see anything wrong with that.

Most investors, contractors, and business owners are busy running projects, managing people, and solving problems all day. AI helps them communicate ideas they may never have had time to write down otherwise.

For me, the real question isn’t whether AI wrote the post.

The real question is whether the person behind it has any real experience to share in the first place.

That’s where the difference is.

When there’s real experience behind the content, AI is just a tool.

When there isn’t, you end up with AI generating posts and AI generating replies.

Amen. Seems like an existential issue for BP that they should be addressing. I imagine no one will use the platform anymore if it's completely overrun by AI posts and AI comments. One potential solution is prevent/limit copy and pasted posts

Smh drives me nuts when the comments is just AI responding with AI 😭 see it a ton on LinkedIn. On a positive note, I do think the people who avoid that will be able to build more, stronger relationships and trust. But yeah annoying.

Here is my feed and all of these appear to be AI generated (same people it seems too) and to me these are not forum posts.
