Kohler Cimarron, have installed close to 1200 of them, almost zero call backs.

Every manufacturer has a toilet targeted at being user friendly (non-clogging) with the EPA 1.6 gal flush requirement.

You really can't go wrong with a Kohler Cimarron, an American Standard Champion or a Toto Drake, these are all designed to compete with each other in this category. They all are available as one or two piece designs, round or elongated, and either 1.6 or 1.2 gal flushes. You'll likely find the Cimarron to be the lowest priced of the three but this might vary upon your location.

I learned a long time ago if you don't want problems you install a Toto.  Not having these types of problems is good.  Well worth the extra dollars for a Toto.

This breaks a rule (don't upgrade to your own standards  ... more expensive and no ROI)  :  kohler santa rosa.  I have installed 4 of these for personal and grandparents for 2 reasons...

comfort height and elongated in same foot print as older small toilets (elder and bad knee friendly)

easy cleaning with a one piece

On a small scale, its worth a look.

Depending on which of the Drake models you are considering, they score relatively well on the MaP test, though be warned that most of them are not HET nor WaterSense certified, so will not help reduce your water consumption.

Champion does not appear to have submitted their models for testing.

We have been using Niagara Conservation 1.28usg single-flush HET, flapperless model for the past couple of years (MaP score >1000) in all our renovations and replacements ... installed more than 30 so far and have had one with a defective fill valve ... which the supplier replaced in an hour.
