Should I become a Real estate Agent ?

Hello BP, my question is should I become a licensed real estate agent? I've heard this will give me a competitive advantage. I do not want to be a realtor, full time at least. I have a good job, and I am going back to school in the fall for my AS In engineering. I do however have the summer break and I was wondering if I can possibly take the course over the summer and online? Any feedback or information would be of great help thank you. Don't know if this will be of any help but I am in New York State.

Unless you're doing 4-6 deals a year I  personally don't think it's worth it to get your license.  There are costs involved, along with continuing education, that come along with having it so be prepared if you do.
