Whats the market like in Charlotte NC? I've been reading it had a high crime rate and it made me question if I want to look there for some income property. Any comments?

@Ivan K.

Hello - I have lived in Charlotte off and on since 1997.  During that time I made brief stops in Charleston, SC and Atlanta, GA - Prior to '97 I lived in Chicago.  The crime rate here is the same as in any other mid to large city....yes there is crime. Yes it is localized to some areas more than others.  No, it doesn't scare me or anyone else that I know.  Charlotte was ranked as a top 10 city to live in the US by the US News and World Report.

The Charlotte Metro area has 122 people moving here every day...out of the 122 are some bad eggs, maybe.  Regardless, it is a booming area.
