Real Estate Professional Time & Activity Tracking Spreadsheet

Hey guys! My husband and I own and self manage 4 properties with 19 units. In 2017, we want to try to qualify my husband as a Real Estate Professional. We have consulted with our accountant and got all the scoop on what needs to be done. I am looking for a way to log all the hours and activity spent on the properties.

1. Would love to hear how qualified Real Estate Professionals, handle logging and whether anyone could share their worksheet template or maybe even suggest an awesome app to use.

2. Also, I know this status can sometimes trigger an audit. Has anyone been through this? What records have helped you to get through it?

Thanks in advance!

I created a Google form that has the real estate activity listed in the column and the number of hours spent on each task in the row. When I select 1 or more checkboxes and submit the form it creates an entry in a Google sheet that has the date and number of hours spent doing everything for that day.
