First REI in Retiirement?

Has anyone first gotten into REI after they retired?  (And by "retired," I mean you're of the normal retirement age of 60s-70s.)  I'd like to hear about your strategies and experiences.    Thanks.

We went into business after retirement and bought homes, a condo, mobile homes, and notes.  We still need more cash flow, but at our age, we prefer to stay away from more mortgages and refinancing.  I was inquiring as to acquisition strategy at this stage in life.

Many over the age of 60 invest their retirement funds directly in real estate where the retirement account owns the property, the rental income flows back to the retirement account, and the retiree then takes a distribution  form the retirement account.
