Where is all the mentors at???

Question

I know you see the title and your probably like what?? Hear me out. I’m not talking about general questions here and there, or just general topics. Because I love this site for that!! I’m talking about where is all the big time mentors that actually take someone under there wing and makes another person successful? You here success stories and successful entrepreneurs talk about there mentor all the time and how they helped them get to where they are. The saying is suppose to be true, “successful people make successful people”. So where are you all at!? I have reached out to a lot of people claiming to be a full time successful investor and all they’ve done is stood me up.. once you get to a certain level in life, all there is left to do is help others do the same. Just a little rant for the day.

As a Mentor and R E Investor for almost 15 years, I can tell you the best way to find a mentor. You need to bring value of some kind to the person who's teaching you the business. I have had people pay me cash to teach them and I have had them offer their time as some type of labor. Either can work.

The deciding factor of the students success is always their work ethic and drive to achieve their goals. A mentor can not supply either of those......... So what is your drive like? If you have reached out to a lot of people, don't stop until you find what you are seeking.

People say "provide value", which is true, but it can be more complex than that, as value is relative, give people a reason to invest in you.

You said "successful people make successful people" which is correct. Remember that when you're asking a successful person to spend time bringing (you) the next guy up. They are trying to do the same thing as you, move up and spend time with people who are already ahead of them.

@Edward B. other way around my friend. I have not ditched anyone I had conversations with. In MY case not OTHERS, the “mentors” have not done anything an have said “all of those things”. This is just my case, I have had a tough time finding someone that is REAL and 100 percent honest and upfront.

@Russell Brazil I completely understand that. I always include in every Inquiry what I can do for them and tell them if they need anything just let me know. I’m not someone who just expects something for nothing, I’ve done my research and have worked in real estate. The facts in my case is that there is a lot of people that talk like they want to help but when it comes down to it they flake or they are fake.

Where is all the mentors at???
