First steps when getting into rental properties.

I am wanting to become a real estate investor. I want to own rental properties. After doing a lot of reading I’ve started to save 20 percent for my down payment and keeping my credit in good standing. I am looking for advice on what else I would need to do before purchasing a property.

Go ahead and start researching different markets too! I'm in Raleigh, NC and properties are selling like hotcakes!
