Multi family vs single family

Posted

I'm looking at getting into investment in upstate NY and am trying to decide between multi family and single family. I've read in some places that single family is a more stable strategy and the returns are better for the effort. Just looking for any insights from people who do one or the other or both. Thanks!

@Oriel Pascal Davis - Lyons you need to find the right investment property that makes sense for you. I wouldn't hone in on one or the other, instead let your Realtor know you are interested in both. Once you have some options and are ready to make a bid then run the numbers and see what investment is going to give you the best cash flow.
