Travel Nurse with Conventional Loan

Gerson Santizo
Posted

Hello all,

I am currently a travel nurse and recently purchased a single family home with a conventional loan. Since I'll be traveling for work most of the time, can I rent out the other rooms in my house with no issue? Of course, Ill be occupying a room for myself. Is there anything I should do before hand? Any advice/expertise would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance

I think this is a good idea. Travel nurses I think have a competitive advantage in real estate at a distance because they are use to problem solving at a distance, are compensated well and you live in an area long enough to know what the good and bad is. I always thought a travel nurse and short-term rentals in areas they stayed that are touristy would be a great combination.
