Loan for an AS-IS property

Isidor P.
Posted

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy my first home and i'm running into a lot of listings being sold as-is or without COO. Will mortgage lenders give a loan for these properties or would i have to go to a private lender? If so, please advise some good private lenders if possible. Also, i'd like to know more about hard money lending and how it works as I've run into a couple listings requiring this.

Thank you in advance.

If the house is being sold as is, I would recommend using conventional renovation financing. If there are repairs that are needed - they could be included in the renovation costs.
