Best Cost Seg Company?

Question

Looking at various cost seg companies, anyone have experience with one they liked (or hated)? Also, not looking for feedback about the value/necessity/negatives/ or need of doing a study. Thanks in advance everyone.

What is "best" to you? Cheapest? Fastest? Easiest to work with? Most beneficial result?

Unfortunately you can only compare prices beforehand. You cannot compare the results, and this is the most important factor, in my opinion.

Our clients have successfully used the three companies run by these people: @Bernard Reisz, @Yonah Weiss, @Julio Gonzalez. Reach out to them and try to compare.

That’s kind of a subjective question, but I can share my experience. I’ve had the chance to work with a cost segregation company that took the time to explain how the process would specifically benefit our investors tax wise, which I really appreciated. Just a heads-up—bonus depreciation can be claimed up to 60% for 2024, and it will drop down to 40% in 2025, so that’s something to keep in mind as you evaluate your options.

Always check the bio and credentials of the person conducting your Cost Segregation study. Look for the Certified Cost Segregation Professional (CCSP) designation, which indicates certification by the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals (ASCSP). This designation ensures you are working with a highly qualified professional. For results, RE cost seg (our partner for full transparency) built a calculator that allows folks to see conservative and then more aggressive estimates. I can send the link to anyone who is interested.
