Successful experiences with Self Directed IRA for buy and hold

Robert Tanaka
Posted

I am in my fifties and have some $$ available in an IRA. In the process of shifting some money into an SDI to diversify and have passive income as part of my retirement strategy. I already have 2 single home rental properties that are doing well. Pretty sure i have found a straight forward company that will setup an llc for me and a custodian on the account, etc.

Just curious has anyone out here been successful in expanding their retirement portfolio with this approach.  Thanks.

@Robert Tanaka

Yes, you can use IRA LLC to purchase rental property. I purchased a rental in my retirement account in 2013, it doubled in value since then and rent have gone up $400 so this can be very lucrative.
