I am in my fifties and have some $$ available in an IRA. In the process of shifting some money into an SDI to diversify and have passive income as part of my retirement strategy. I already have 2 single home rental properties that are doing well. Pretty sure i have found a straight forward company that will setup an llc for me and a custodian on the account, etc.

Just curious has anyone out here been successful in expanding their retirement portfolio with this approach.  Thanks. 

Yep, charge her a fair share of the rent.  Either thru utilities, food or plain old write a check.  In your own interests, if things fall apart down the road why should you front her thousands of dollars in free rent while you were dating.
