Using a Shelf Corporation to Purchase RE abroad

Hi!

I am currently living abroad and want to get into real estate investing. I was told that it was possible to buy a shelf corporation in the US to get a loan from a bank to start purchasing RE abroad. Does anyone have experience with that or know of a CPA or tax pro that has experience with this?
