Student Loan Debt Barrier

Hi everybody. I am new to this world and looking to get involved in investment properties.

I just graduated college a few months ago and am working a 9-5 trying to pay off my student loan debt while living with my parents. I’ve been watching locally and have seen a few good multifamily deals go by and feel like I’m missing out on opportunities.

My student loans few like they are holding me back from from not only getting out of my parents house but also getting my path started in investment properties.

Has anyone been in this situation before and how did you handle it?

I would say a very high number of us who went to college and had student loans were faced with this problem. First is to get your finances in order, save money, pay down debt etc.

Regarding these MF deals, are you analyzing them? Are you having someone else review your numbers? That is where I would start as there are a lot of deals on paper that look to pencil out but then do not. I would start by analyzing the properties and then going to look at them so you also understand where they are, how they are performing and what work is needed etc.
