401K Rollover to a Self Directed IRA
I'm in the beginning process of rolling over my 401k into a self-directed IRA. I'm looking for suggestions or a referral as to a custodian and or a firm to contact to assist me in this process.

Curt, Check out IRA Financial Group.Their website can answer lots of questions. They allow you to have "checkbook" control.
You might consider rolling over to a solo401k instead. Solo 401k has more flexibility as far as investing with debt financing on RE and Lower set up fee. Can you have any type of self employment in future to allow for Solo401k.
