Shared Driveway-Parking Lot Fight

I bought a 4-Plex with a shared driveway. The Seller owns and lives in the 4-Plex next door during the summer but is a snowbird during the winter.

My tenants in Apartment #2 have called me to say one tenant from the other building is parking on our half of the parking lot.

I contacted the other owner and asked if she could have her tenant stay on the other side as my tenant was being forced to park in the lawn and shortly this will become a snowy nightmare as winter here fast approaches.

9 days later the tenant is still on my half of the parking lot and is having guests now parking there too and also the guests are parking in the middle of the parking lot making maneuvering out difficult.

There is no advantage to this other tenant parking on my side, her side is actually closer to her unit.

I will be contacting the other landlord again today but any suggestions on handling this would be appreciated. The other landlord and I share duties, I take care of plowing and her husband does the yard work so I’d like to not alienate her.

I would post a notice on the car. We Install signs on showing who is allowed to park in each spot also when there is an issue
