Direct deposit from their bank account to yours.

payrent.com

rentpayment.com

Zelle

Venmo

Etc.

There are so many platforms available! My recommendation would be to try out some of the property management software like avail.com, tenantcloud.com, stessa, or others that allow online payments and handle many other aspects (tenant/lease tracking, maintenance tracking, owner reports, etc.)

@Nicholas Acevedo

The most effective rent collection method is whatever works for the tenant - except picking up rent!

We offer 4 different payment methods to our tenants:

  1. Online ACH via our PM software (no charge)
  2. Deposit @ our bank ($3 charge)
  3. Credit Card ($5 + cc fees)
  4. Mail ($10 charge)

Notice we charge a fee for the less desirable options to encourage the behavior we want:)

As far as online platforms there's quite a few available!

We're building rent collection integrated with banking and bookkeeping at Baselane, other options we see most commonly are Avail, Stessa and RentRedi. Happy to chat!

I have a bookkeeping client that uses Innago and it is really nice.  Pretty sure it is free for him to use.
