Real estate agent to place tenant

Hello, I own an out of state rental property in Indianapolis, and I self-manage the property. I am approaching the end of the current tenant’s lease and need to find a new tenant. Since I am out of state, I will not be able to show the property myself.

I have a few thoughts on how to do this, but I am wondering what the best way is to show the house. In your experience, what is the best way to do this?

Hire a real estate agent for showings? Only allow showings to people who have their own agent?

If hiring a real estate agent myself, can anyone recommend an agent that does this type of work?

Thanks in advance!

Ryan

@Ryan Treacy who's going to take applications, chase documents and screen prospects?

Do NOT count on an agent doing this well!

I beleive that's the point @Adam Bartomeo is trying to make:)
