Multifamily, housing noise, problem

Please help me! I need some suggestion suggestions on how to deal with tenants that can’t get along in a multifamily property.

The property is a home that was turned into a four Plex. The tenant upstairs is a giant, 6 foot five 350 pounds. He and his wife moved in in the middle of December. Shortly before Christmas, a family of six moved in to the apartment below them. I am getting calls every other day about the giant stomping on the ceiling because one of the kids spoke an audible word. I get calls from the giant upstairs saying the kids are running around the house shaking his walls. Can anybody give me any suggestions on how to resolve this or deal with this? The family of six, the little kids are scared of the giant upstairs, to the point where they hide under their covers and scream and cry and shiver, which obviously brings more stomping. What can I do?

Add carpet with upgraded pad upstairs, double drywall/quietrock insulation to downstairs ceiling.

Then offer both the opportunity to move out with no penalties and the stipulation you don’t want to hear about it again if they stay.

I assume these aren’t your first tenants and one or both are being unreasonable. If these are your first tenants. The only answer may be turn it back in to a single family, sell your headache to someone else, or only rent to old/deaf people. Preferably little people.

Ps. I assume the downstairs tenants are exaggerating/lying or you’re giving them such a good deal they are staying in a home that’s traumatizing their kids. Maybe their kids should be taken away from them. At least call child services and say you think the kids are in a bad situation.
