Tenant storage

Is tenant storage of belongings required legally? Also does the space have to be separated for each tenant. Have a basement where my tenant and I share the space but want to make sure when I leave and bring in a new tenant, everything is legal.

@Andrew S. Offer to rent the one and only storage shed out to the highest bidder!

@Steven Bays Section the basement storage area out into separate units that are lockable. You can add value this way as a perk or you can choose to rent them to your tenants.

@Steve Babiak You are right on about the potential pitfalls of shared storage.
