Renters Discussion Forum... for Renters or for Landlords?

Question

Renters Discussion: "This is the forum for renters who are looking for advice in dealing with their landlord. Ask questions about dealing with landlords, leases, tenant rights and other important issues." - BP

Have you noticed the vast majority of topics posted in this forum are not from renters, but from landlords? Also, renters often post topics about renting woes in the Landlord Forum. Some people post the same topic in both the renters forum and the landlord forum simultaneously. What would it take for BP users to differentiate better between the Renters Discussion and the Landlord Forum?

BTW... I'm realize I'm violating this myself with this post, because I am a landlord!

Maybe putting them closer together on the menu and/or renaming to Rental Discussions - Landlord Perspective and Rental Discussions - Tenant Perspective would help.

Renters forum was designed for renters and landlord forum was for landlords.   If users aren't posting properly, perhaps the moderators can assist.

I think the two categories might as well be merged.  It would alleviate the double-posting.

@Marcia Maynard come on....you are on here enough to know that very few people actually follow the categories.  Have you ever read the Investor Deal Diary category?  Half the posts in there are things like "How do I find a hard money lender in Dallas?"

@Joshua Dorkin I'm not volunteering, but the moderators do a very poor job of policing the categories.  That's just a fact.

That being said, BP is a great resource.  You just have to wade through a lot of junk to get to the good stuff.
