Cheap Appliances

Hello everyone. I thought I would throw out a quick tip. I am a buy and hold investor from Greensboro NC. I have a handful of SFR's. I typically buy foreclosures, fix them up and then rent them out. I like to put stainless appliances in them so I can get the max market rent. After getting ripped off on craigslist with my last project I figured I better just pony up and buy new appliances. So on the next one I found some pretty good stores to get discount appliances. We have a Sears outlet store in Greensboro. Here they offer scratch and dent stuff as well as returns and other items discounted for who knows what reason. I was able to get a side by side fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, all brand new with a one year warranty and all name brands with no visible scratches or dents for $1100 out the door. It helps if you have a sears charge card because then they give you 5% off your purchase which almost takes care of sales tax. I did not have luck there with a great deal on a stove so I found another discount appliance store call discount super store I believe. They had all kinds of stuff, it looked like they took all the clearance items from big box stores. I scored a $400 brand new whirlpool stainless range, and the best part was no sales tax! So for $1,500 I got a nice stainless 4 piece appliance set all new and all with the 1 year manufacturers warranty. I was just excited to actually hit my appliance budget so I thought I would share. Does anyone else have any tips for scoring great deals on common rehab items, flooring, fixtures, etc?
