Does anyone have a good CPA to recommend in the Greensboro NC area? I have a small business and several rentals so someone skilled in those areas would be great. I’m having issues with my current one. Thanks for any help.

Hey Monte, I think the FHA loan would be a great place to start. Buy a property now that would make a good rental, house hack it, build some equity, then move on from there. Also learn how to live below your means and work on building your credit. Hit me up if you have any questions. I would be glad to help.

@Holly Baum Thanks Holly, so maybe just put in the rental listing description that the 4th bedroom and basement living space have 6.5' ceilings? I just want the listing heading to say 4 bed so people who are searching for 4 bedrooms will find it.

Oh thats fine though. As long as there is nothing preventing me from advertising it to potential renters as a 4 bedroom.

@Kimberly H. what is the downside to HUD not considering it a bedroom?

Thanks for the info James, the good things about this deal is I can get rent for a 4 bed 2.5 bath 2100 sq ft house and pay taxes and insurance on a 3 bed 1.5 bath 1300 sq foot house. Its on a busy road though and the basement layout is a little funky, but in a good location.

I looked at a house today I may make an offer on for a buy and hold SFR. The house is listed as a 3 bed 1.5 bath 1300 sq feet. However it has a somewhat finished basement with another full bathroom and about another 800 sq feet of living space including a separate room that could be used as a bedroom. This can not be listed in the sales information because the ceiling height is too low (around 6.5') If I were to buy this house could I list it as a 4 bed 2.5 bath rental? Are there any rules governing the listing specs on rentals?

Hello, I am an investor from NC looking at the Greenville area for buy and hold. Can anyone recommend a good agent in this area? I will be down there on Tuesday 01-31 and have a house I would like to check out. Much appreciated.
