DocuSign Michigan Lease???

Does anyone know if a docusigned lease in Michigan is legal? When we purchased our last property, we did everything via DocuSign except for the actual closing. I am wondering if we need physical signatures on an original lease for it to be legal.

Thanks in advance!

Electronic signatures have been legal for almost 20 years.  You do not need "wet" signatures on a lease. The only thing you run into that needs "wet" signatures is for banks issuing mortgages...and it is not a requirement there because of legality, but rather as a means of fraud control.
