Damaged Tenant's Belongings

Hi there! If a tenant's belongings are damaged because of a large leak in the roof top AC unit which is obviously the landlord's responsibility... Who should file an insurance claim? The tenant under their renter's insurance or the landlord?

The tenant should file a claim against their renter's insurance policy for damage to their own personal belongings.  A landlord policy likely doesn't even have coverage for a tenant's personal property.  My lease also states that my tenant's personal property is not insured/covered by me or my policy.
