Enzyme odor remover - Mr. Icky Poo

I'm dealing with a rehab where cats were doing their thing in the same place for about 15 years. The smell was pretty bad when I first got in there, but now that I removed the existing vinyl plank flooring the stench is horrible.

I purchased a gallon of a product called Mr. Icky Poo from Amazon for about $35. The product supposedly contains living bacteria that will eat organic matter like urine, vomit, poo, etc... and make the smell go away (not cover it). I got this tip from a floor re finisher, who even recommended covering the floor with plastic to keep the enzyme liquid in the floor for longer before evaporating. I didn't use the plastic.

Well almost immediately I noticed a positive difference. Then I left the property for about an hour and came back. Noticeably better still, although the "heaviest" corner still smelled like cat urine.

I was really worried about this problem but I'm feeling much better now after that first treatment. I went ahead and purchased 3 more gallons of Mr. Icky Poo and will apply the next gallon once the floor seems dry from the first treatment.

Does anyone else have experience with this product? How did it go for you?
