Hello!! I am renting out my first property and need help with finding the most accurate lease agreement for North Carolina?
Also do you get a lawyer to look over your lease or use a legal website for the agreement?
Any guidance would be much appreciated!
Most realtors have access to a state form. If you bought through a Realtor ask them for help. There is probably a landlord group in your state you can join and they will have forms also.
Google, form 410-T North Carolina, it's not all extensive but it's a good place to start
@Julie Haneline You might want to join your local apartment association and get a from from them. The more standard the form, the more standard the terms of the agreement--obviously. Are you planning on tailoring the agreement to include/exclude specific provisions? That will guide your decision on the need for an attorney.
