Taking over a current lease

Reaching out for some advice.  I just bought my first duplex (YAY!) . There are currently two set of tenants occupying the duplex and I am taking over their current lease.  Is there a formal letter/format of a form that I should send to them introducing myself and my contact information that someone could share.  Or is it ok to create my own?  I did reach out to a lawyer, but would love to avoid the high price he quoted.  Thanks.

When this happens I just send a simple letter letting them know I am their new landlord and give them my contact info and rent payment instructions.

You could ask to meet if you want or to do a quick check of the property to see if their is any maintenance that needs to be done etc.

Doesn't need to be anything fancy.
