Anyone power wash a rental house exterior for maintenance and/or curb appeal purposes?

Yes. I'll do it myself if the job isn't too big or dangerous for me, otherwise I'll hire a company. Go buy one for under $200 and learn how to use it. People damaging surfaces usually are using the wrong nozzle or too close to the surface.

Not only do the exterior of the place, but it can make a massive difference to the look of the place if you do the sidewalk, driveway, patios, and walkways. It gives the place a fresh look.

Waste of money in my opinion, use a hose. I have seen more people knock paint off, blow plants out of the ground etc. Much more beneficial ways to spend your money.

@Thuy Pham-Satrappe Yes it is a good thing to do. Get someone reputable and it is not recommended for some sidings like Hardie plank.
