I use Turbo Tenant for screening tenants, but I do not like their reports, and was wondering if there is another company out there that provides an in depth report for around the same price of $35?
Have you tried the services provided within the Zillow Rental Manager account? For my personal investment properties I list the unit for rent there directly, and I am able to send potential renters an application to their email to complete the screening. I haven't had any problems at all with this screening and it's cheaper than $35.00. I've attached link to FAQ page on these services.
Per Zillow website:
"Prospective renters pay $29 to send you an identity-verified renter application with a freshly pulled credit report, criminal background check and eviction record."
I use smartmove
@Kyle Brown I recommend checking out the landlord resources tab on BiggerPockets, they have recommended screening services on there that you can do some research on to see what company best fits your needs.
You can also find the landlord resources tab by hovering over tools and clicking landlord resources under services.
TT uses TransUnion (AKA MySMartMove) which is very popular. When it comes via a 3rd party like TT, it gets "cleaned up" to make it easier to read I guess. The credit portion is going to source form the same data so it should include most of the same things across vendors. However, some will up-charge you to get more details like evictions.
What is it lacking that you want from another source?
