32 days later, $100 holding fee, still no decision on apartment

At the time of applying, I had all my paperwork and verifications etc. I had whatever deposit required at the time of application. The management seems unorganized as I had to return 3 following days to sign "forgotten" documents. I'm a care provider that meets the rental criteria, but the verification process is taking too long and I've started looking at other places.

my question is, can I get my holding deposit back if it's taking THEM too long to process my application? 32 days seems excessive!

(I never saw or signed anything stating my holding fee was non refundable only the $50 app fee)

Corporate landlords like this piss me off. You don't deserve to be treated this way.

I've stood on smaller hills than this fighting on principal. I hope you get treble (triple) damages on the $100 and the $50.  Teach them a lesson.

@Sue K is spot on.  The timeline and vagueness is 'unreasonable'.  Check with your local free legal aid and light em up!
