Appraisal and tenant

Ikenna Ivy
Posted

Appraisal is being scheduled in a tenanted property

Is it possible to have a closed appraisal- Where the tenant is not allowed inside?

I'm asking because she previously delayed a showing , she also was resistant to the sale process-

Yes we provided a notice well in advance and she is not able to purchase

We'd prefer she be so kind to wait in her vehicle

--Is there an option to do so (Michigan)?
--Hoping she'll comply as we gave a $100 rent credit

Replied

I cant imagine you can legally refuse a tenant access to their own home.

Eta: just let the appraiser know she might be challenging.
