Is Detroit a landlord friendly city
I'm considering investing in Detroit realestate. Was wondering is it a landlord friendly city or does it take forever to evict a tenant

@Steven Jefferson: It's different in Metro Detroit versus City of Detroit.
City of Detroit Landlord Challenges:
- EVICTIONS: MAY take longer if you don't know what you're doing OR if a judge is having a bad day
- INSPECTIONS: city requires a rental inspection every 3 years that is an par with those required in the suburbs, but also requires a lead-based paint inspection annually.
- THEFT: vacant properties are broken into and furnace & HWH stolen. They also seem to disappear when a tenant is being evicted.
Again, these issues are minimized if you invest in Metro Detroit, which offers some of the best returns in the country.
