What is best site/software for getting credit/background checks

Hi BP,

I am looking for the best site to run background checks and credit checks on a potential roommate for my househack. I haven't ever ran a background or credit check on anyone and I was wondering what you guys recommend or where I can find more information regarding this.

You can select different levels.  I select the higher degree of check.  About $40.

I use smartmove from TransUnion.  Tenants pay for the screening directly to TransUnion.  Results are within a day, usually within hours.  They provide a recommendation to accept, accept with conditions or deny.
